From Altamira to Bansky, art has written an exciting story. Each movement is unfailingly linked to the next, like the links in a chain that seems to have no end. Street art has its point of union with cave paintings, and Picasso began to deconstruct the figures from the dazzle caused by African art. Underpinning everything is so-called consecrated art, those exceptional works of art that represent humanity's greatest cultural achievements. They are still here, with us, in museums and in private collections, attesting that the passage of time is decisive in the granting of the mark of work of art, of all those masterpieces that have helped and continue to help improve the world.
